How to Keep Your Family Organized for the Holidays
01 November, 2016
It’s hard to believe, but the holiday season is upon us. While it may be the most wonderful time of the year, it’s also the most stressful time of the year. Your family will undoubtedly be pulled in a million different directions, so getting organized ahead of time is key. Check out these tips for keeping your loved ones organized from now until the New Year!
1. Plan ahead. From Thanksgiving dinner to your annual New Year’s party, time will fly over the next few weeks. Get ahead of the curve by purchasing non-perishable food items, gifts and decorations now. You can go ahead and knock gravy, stuffing, green beans and corn off of your Thanksgiving dinner list; purchase gifts for your kids’ friends and teachers by stockpiling or taking advantage of Black Friday deals, or buying streamers and hats for your New Year’s party.
2. Get the house ready. Now is the time to declutter and stock your guest rooms and bathrooms and get the decorations down from the attic. While it may not be time to deck the halls just yet, some light cleaning, organizing and planning will help keep you from becoming overwhelmed as the time comes for guests to arrive.
3. Use a weekly meal planner. Between Halloween and New Year’s Day, healthy eating seems to fall by the wayside. In between Thanksgiving dinner, holiday parties and sweet treats from friends, use your Lulalu meal planner to plan easy, healthy meals your family will love. Maybe you can avoid the holiday bulge!
